The 55x5 Method for Money

Where the 369 method spreads one sentence across 33 days, the 55x5 method compresses everything into five days: one sentence, written five times, every day, for five consecutive days.

The routine

  1. Write one sentence about money, present tense, first person, no negations.
  2. Write it out five times, by hand, in one sitting.
  3. Do it every day for five days in a row.
  4. Then stop, and watch for about a week what you notice and what you do differently.

Who it suits

This method suits people who finish things quickly and lose interest slowly. If a 33-day commitment makes you want to not start, five days is a fair trade: shorter, denser, and over before your motivation decays. It suits action types particularly well — the people who would rather do something intense and then move on.

How it differs from 369

369 is a slow build: eighteen repetitions a day for 33 days, designed to change a belief you have carried for years. 55x5 is a short, high-intensity push: twenty-five repetitions total across five days. Neither is better in the abstract. If you have a specific, near-term outcome in mind, 55x5 fits. If you are trying to shift how you feel about money in general, the 369 method is the better shape. Full comparison of temperaments is in the type quiz.
